1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to UnisHub (https://unishub.com). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, you must cease using the website immediately. These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy.
2. Definitions
- “Service” – the UnisHub website and all associated content, data downloads, and APIs.
- “User” – any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service.
- “Content” – text, tables, graphics, maps, code snippets, and other materials made available through the Service.
- “Open Data” – public-domain or openly licensed datasets aggregated and republished on UnisHub.
- “Controller” / “We” / “Us” – the operator of UnisHub, acting as data controller.
3. Permitted Use
- View, download, and print Content for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes.
- Create derivative analyses or visualisations, provided required attributions are preserved.
- Link to public pages of the Service without framing or misrepresentation.
4. Prohibited Conduct
- Automated scraping or data extraction beyond the rate limits defined in Section 12.
- Attempting to interfere with site security, integrity, or availability.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or modifying site code except where code snippets are expressly licensed.
- Using Content to create misleading, discriminatory, or unlawful material.
5. Data Sources & Accuracy Disclaimer
UnisHub aggregates datasets from authoritative public sources. While we endeavour to keep information current, data may be incomplete or out of date. Users are responsible for verifying details with primary institutions before making decisions.

6. Intellectual Property Rights
Except where otherwise noted, all intellectual-property rights in the Service and Content are owned by UnisHub or its licensors. University names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.
7. Open-Data Licensing

- Downloadable CSV/JSON datasets: CC BY 4.0.
- Map imagery: © OpenStreetMap contributors, CC BY-SA 2.0; underlying database subject to ODbL 1.0.

8. No Academic, Financial, or Legal Advice
The Service is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute academic counselling, financial advice, or legal advice. Users should consult qualified professionals before acting on any information.
9. Third-Party Links & Embedded Services
The Service may include links to external sites or embed resources from OpenStreetMap, Cloudflare, Google Analytics, and other providers. We have no control over third-party content and disclaim all liability arising from its use.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UnisHub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from use of the Service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold UnisHub harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
12. API Access & Rate Limiting
Internal endpoints for autocomplete and paginated institution lists are limited to 120 requests per minute per IP address. Attempts to circumvent limits—such as parallel scraping, rotating proxies, or altering request headers—are prohibited and may result in IP blocking and legal action.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Chișinău.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. The “Effective Date” above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced via an on-site banner for at least 30 days.
15. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and UnisHub regarding the Service.
